A CARVED IVORY ‘FINGER CITRON’ TRAY
QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-1795)
清乾隆 象牙雕佛手形筆掭
The washer is naturalistically modelled in the shape of a fnger citron, with the
interior intricately carved with two bats, insects, an auspicious animal-form
pendant and leafy branches bearing fowers. Another bat is depicted to one
side. The base is supported on three later added leaf-form feet.

A CARVED AND RETICULATED CELADON JADE
‘CHRYSANTHEMUM’ PARFUMIER
18TH-19TH CENTURY
清十八/十九世紀 青玉鏤雕菊花紋香筒
The sides of the cylindrical vessel are carved with large leafy branches bearing
chrysanthemum blooms, set between two key-fret borders. The stone is of a
pale tone with snowy fecks. The two mottled jadeite discs covering the top
and base are detailed with shou-character roundels.
