A CARVED AGATE SNUFF BOTTLE
1780-1850

The bottle is of pebble form and marked with concentric striations. It
is carved on one side with a melon borne on a leafy vine that extends
to the other side where two butterfies carved from lighter markings
perch on leaves.

A GRISAILLE-DECORATED PORCELAIN SNUFF BOTTLE
IMPERIAL, JINGDEZHEN KILNS, DAOGUANG FOUR-CHARACTER SEAL MARK
IN IRON RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

The compressed bottle is decorated with an allover design of a fve-
clawed dragon racing amidst dense scrolling clouds.
