A GILT COPPER ALLOY FIGURE OF TARA The recently identified sculptural tradition of the Khasa Malla Kingdom
NEPAL, KHASA MALLA, 13TH/14TH CENTURY has sparked great interest among scholars and collectors in the past
Himalayan Art Resources item no.61913 twenty years. This uplifting figure of Tara exhibits a number of the
6 3/4 in. (17 cm) high Khasa Malla’s stylistic features, including her well-defined knuckles,
high slanted eyebrows, and red-painted lotus base at the rear.
