               JOSEON DYNASTY (18TH CENTURY)
               The ovoid form, delicately painted in
               underglaze-blue with four autumn grasses
               and insects, the shoulder with four auspicious-
               character roundels representing longevity
               (Su), good fortune (Bok), good health (Gang)
               and peace (Nyeong), the mouth rim with a line,
               the body applied with a lustrous transparent
               overglaze
               14º in. (36.2 cm.) high and 12Ω in. (31.8 cm.) wide
