Lady Tan Yeh Shien studied at Xiang Ya Professional Nursing School in Hunan,
and later became the head nurse at Taiwan University Hospital’s department of
ophthalmology. During the 1950s, Pu Ru was admitted into the hospital for his
eye conditions, where Lady Tan assisted in his treatment and recovery. In order
to show his appreciation, he dedicated and gifted to her these two works, which
have since remained in the her family.

譚業嫻女士畢業於湖南湘雅護校，之後曾任職台大醫院眼科護理長。
在一九五〇年代，溥儒先生在台大醫院治療眼疾時，譚女士的細心照
顧使得他迅速地康復。為了表達他的謝意，溥儒先生贈送這兩幅親題
的字畫給譚女士，一直由家族收藏至今。
