A LARGE SILVER AND GOLD-INLAID PEAR-SHAPED BRONZE
VASE
18TH CENTURY
The vase is finely decorated around the swollen section with intricate taotie
masks, with the eyes picked out in gold, amongst meandering leafy scrolls.
The shoulder and tall slender neck are further inlaid with blade-shaped
cartouches, enclosing taotie mask and meandering scrolls.
