A LONGQUAN CELADON VASE
YUAN DYNASTY (1279-1368)
The flattened, pear-shaped vase is moulded with two C-shaped handles with
rings. The body is moulded with a deer and a fu character to one side and a qilin
to the other side, each within a ruyi-shaped cartouche. The neck is decorated
with a band of stylised lappets and the foot with a band of ruyi-heads.

A LONGQUAN CELADON WASHER
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
The washer is finely potted with an angular profile rising from a short foot to a
slightly everted rim, covered overall with an attractive glaze of even sea-green
tone with the exception of the foot ring.
