Satsuma Takeuchi – Meiji period

                                    Kutani Takeuchi: In  Kutani were different people working with the familyname
                                    Takeuchi. Takeuchi Ginshu (竹内吟秋) is born in 1832 as a first son of the Daishoji
                                    Samourai Asai Chouemon . His real name was Gensaro (源三郎). In 1850 he took
                                    over the  Takeuchi family. His younger brother is the famous akae painter Asai
                                    Ichimo (1836-1916).  Asai Ichimo was born in the present Kaga city in 1836. He
                                    learned pottery from Iidaya Hachiroemon of the famous Miyamoto kiln. Later, he
                                    became an Akae (Crimson painting) pottery painter, creating his own original
                                    designs. In 1879, together with his brother Takeuchi Ginshu, he established a very
                                    successful Kutani porcelain company.

                                    Tanfuku worked for Tohaku-en, the workshop of Naruse Seishi, it’s also possible that
                                    Tanfuku is  the Go (art) name of Naruse Seishi.
