form with foliate panels to the shoulder; the water

A BROWN GLAZED RICE MEASURE JAR
Southern Song Dynasty
The globular body surmounted by a cylindrical neck
and everted rim, applied with a band of bosses at
the shoulder, the interior and exterior covered in a
chocolate brown glaze running irregularly half way
down the jar, revealing the cream coloured body,
decorated with an incised comb design.
