A FINELY INLAID ZITAN ‘DOUBLE- 明末清初 紫檀嵌寶瓜瓞綿綿筆筒

LATE MING – EARLY QING
DYNASTY 尺寸略大,為清宮舊藏,現仍存北京故宮博物
院,錄於《故宮博物院藏文物珍品全集:竹木
of slender cylindrical form with a lipped rim, 牙角雕刻》,香港,2001年,圖版235、236
finely inlaid with red aventurine, mother-of-pearl,
carnelian, malachite, soapstone, stained horn 及238。
and lacquer with a gnarled branch suspending
small leafy double-gourds and coiling tendrils,
the densely grained wood patinated to a deep
reddish-brown colour
