There is no time clock. There is no long distance race. No one is pushing you. Any distance
         you go is really your own to decide. It is true that kayakers and canoeist had built a reputation

         on racing down the river with no real time for people as I would discover later.

         But each vessel has only one captain and as masters of our own destiny, you paddle your own
         boat, you make your own wake. What you leave behind you is behind you.

         I had started with the concepts I would go slow and I was living out the idea’s I believed in that

         I could and would enjoy the journey daily more than the accomplishment later. I heard so few
         “after the fact” stories, I wondered about the people who came before me.

         I promised myself I would record this journey and enjoy it for all it’s worth long after I fin-

         ished it’s course and arrived at  my destination.
