One church, above, beneath, They, with united breath,
Though now divided by the stream, The narrow Ascribe their conquest to the lamb,
stream of death: Their triumph to His death. 3/5

To his command we bow; They marked the footsteps that he trod;
Part of his host have crossed the flood, His zeal inspired their breast;

Ten thousand to their endless home Verse 5
This solemn moment fly; Our glorious Leader claims our praise
And we are to the margin come, For His own pattern given;
And we expect to die; While the long cloud of witnesses
Show the same path to heaven. 5/5
Even now by faith we join our hands HOME
With those that went before, 350 Just a closer walk with Thee
And greet the blood be-sprinkled bands Verse 1
On the eternal shore. 3/4 I am weak but Thou art strong,
Jesus, keep me from all wrong,

Our spirits too shall quicky join, As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.
Like theirs with glory crowned,
And shout to see our captain's sign, To hear his Chorus
trumpet sound. Just a closer walk with Thee; Grant it, Jesus, if
you please.
O that we now might grasp our guide! Daily walking close with thee,
O that the word were given! Come, Lord of Let it be, dear Lord, let it be. 1/3
