Verse 6 Shall make him once relent
        Soon shall come the great awaking, His first avowed intent
        Soon the rending of the tomb; To be a pilgrim. 1/3
        Then the scattering of all shadows,
        And the end of toil and gloom. 6/6 Verse 2
        HOME Who so beset him round
        342 Walk in the light: so shall you With dismal stories

        know                                                    Do but themselves confound;
        Verse 1
                                                                His strength the more is.
        Walk in the light: so shall you know                    No lion can him fright;
        That fellowship of love                                 He'll with a giant fight;
        His Spirit only can bestow, But he will have a right
        Who reigns in light above. 1/5 To be a pilgrim. 2/3

        Verse 2                                                 Verse 3
        Walk in the light: and you shall find Hobgoblin nor foul fiend
        Your heart made truly his                               Can daunt his spirit;
        Who dwells in cloudless light enshrined, He knows he at the end
        In whom no darness is. 2/5 Shall life inherit.

        Verse 3 Then fancies fly away,
        Walk in the light: and you shall own                    He'll fear not what men say;
        Your darness passed away, He'll labour night and day
        Because that Light has on you shone To be a pilgrim. 3/3

        Verse 4
        Walk in the light: and e'en the tomb storms of life
        No fearful shade shall wear; Verse 1
        Glory shall chase away its gloom, Will your anchor hold to the storms of life,
        For Christ has conquered there. 4/5 When the clouds unfold their wings of strife

        Verse 5 When the strong tides lift, and the cables strain,
        Walk in the light: he'll guide you through Will your anchor drift, or firm, remain?
        A path, though thorny, bright,
        For God, by grace, shall dwell in you, Chorus
        And God himself is Light. 5/5 We have an anchor that keeps the soul
        HOME                                                    Steadfast and sure while the billows roll;

        Verse 1 Fastened to the rock which cannot move,
        Who would true valour see, Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's love!
        Let him come hither;                                    1/4
        One here will constant be,

                                                                Will your anchor hold in the straits of fear?
        There's no discouragement                               When the breakers roar and the reef is near;
