That, closely knit in holy vow, Verse 3
They may in you be one. 1/5 O spirit of the father,
Breathe on them from above,
Verse 2 So mighty in Thy pureness,
When days are filled with pure delight, So tender in Thy love,
When paths are plain and skies are bright,
Walking by faith and not by sight, may they in That, guarded by Thy presence,
you be one. 2/5 From sin and strife kept free,
Their lives may own Thy guidance,
Verse 3 Their hearts be ruled by Thee. 3/4
When stormy winds fulfil your will,
And all their good seems turned to ill, Verse 4
Then, trusting you completely still Except Thou build it, Father,
May they in you be one. 3/5 The house is built in vain;
Except Thou, Saviour, bless it, The joy will turn
Verse 4 to pain:
Whate'er in life shall be their share of quickening
joy or burdening care, In power to do and grace But nought can break the union
to bear, may they in you be one. 4/5 Of hearts in Thee made one;
And love Thy spirit hallows
Verse 5 eternal Love, with them abide; In you Is endless love begun. 4/4

HOME O happy home where Thou art loved the
445 O Father, all creating, dearest,
Verse 1 Thou loving Friend, and Saviour of our race,
O Father, all creating,
Whose wisdom, love, and power First bound And where among the guests there never
two lives together In Eden's primal hour. cometh
One who can hold such high and honoured
Today to these Thy children thine earliest gifts place! 1/6
renew: A home by Thee made happy,
A love by Thee kept true. 1/4 Verse 2
O happy home where two in heart united
Verse 2 In holy faith and blessed hope are one,
O Saviour, Guest most bounteous
Of old in Galilee, Whom death a little while alone divideth,
Vouchsafe today Thy presence And cannot end the union here begun! 2/6
With those who call on thee;
Verse 3
Their store of earthly gladness O happy home whose little ones are given
Transform to heavenly wine, Early to thee, in humble faith and prayer,
And teach them in the tasting
To know the gift is thine. 2/4 To thee, their friend, who from the heights of
heaven
