Aloha Associates,
The mission of Adventist Health, Living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness and hope, is a calling to our highest level of dedication and engagement. Each day we are all the living heartbeats of this mission and through us our communities experience God’s love and care. It is because of this high calling that we conduct associate engagement surveys each year to listen to your voices and work together to grow our collective engagement. I’m excited to announce our 2020 Together Empowered Engagement Survey.
You might be wondering why we would conduct a survey during a pandemic and at a time of unprecedented upheaval and change. The current environment makes the survey even more important! I’m very proud of how you have cared for our community during this time, and I value your voice and feedback now more than ever.
About the Survey
The engagement survey will be open from September 8 – 29. All active associates across our market hired before July 27 are invited to participate. Please answer the survey questions as they apply to your immediate supervisor and team.
Castle recognized for
patient experience
Using the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems scores from CMS, Becker's Hospital Review has compiled a list of the best hospitals for patient experience in each state. Adventist Health Castle was listed as a top-rated hospital in Hawai'i receiving a four-star patient summary star rating.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has developed HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health- care Providers and Systems) star ratings to make it easier for consumers to use the information on the Hospital Compare website and to spotlight excellence.
This year’s survey is the Gallup Q12, a slightly condensed version of the survey we usually conduct. The Gallup Q12 is well- researched and will provide us trend data from years past while also providing an opportunity for all associates to provide written feedback about how to make Adventist Health a great place to work.
You can feel confident in providing open
and honest feedback as it pertains to your immediate supervisor and team members as Gallup will receive and keep your responses completely confidential. This will give you a chance to share how you feel about working at Castle and how we can improve.
The associate engagement survey is:
• Quick and convenient
• 100% confidential
• A tool to improve your work experience • A way to share honest feedback
Get ready!
You will receive a separate email invitation from Gallup on September 8th. To ensure associates only complete the survey once, the email invitation you receive will contain a unique user link for each survey. Please do not forward the link to your coworkers.
As in past years, Adventist Health Castle is providing some great prizes to encourage your survey participation. We will be holding three drawings, each offering a $600 Visa gift card prize. All associates in the departments that reach the following participation goals by the dates below will be entered into a drawing. Here are the details:
• Drawing #1: For 70 percent participa- tion or higher by Sept. 15
• Drawing #2: For 80 percent participa- tion or higher by September 22
• Drawing #3: For 90 percent participa- tion or higher by survey close
We care about your well-being
Because we care, we've added three ques- tions to help us better understand how you’re doing during this challenging time.
We value and appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts and ideas with us through this survey.
Please review the message on Pg. 2 from Chief Culture Officer Joyce Newmyer with more information about the added questions.
Thank you in advance for sharing your voice in this survey. This is one way we care for and honor each other as we live out our mission.
Kathy Raethel, President Adventist Health Castle
