In their book, Designing Your Future, Beacham, McFall, and Park-Gates state “Contract design
is characteristically deadline driven, and clients have high expectations for fast turn-around on
designs. This pressure can cause a high level of stress in design offices”. This quote illustrates that
the main causes of stress in the Interior Design profession are the deadlines and the demanding
clients.

Designers need to learn how to balance their work load in order to meet the deadline and not fall
behind. If the Interior Designer focuses on the design part more than client consultation then the
designer will not know what ideas the client has and the details of what their needs are.

This month, Swiftnluft has come up with special issue ‘10 Most Inventive Interior Design
