 CARERS CODE OF CONDUCT
Code of Conduct (skillsforcare.org.uk)
All our carers commit to the Skills for Care – Code of Conduct.
1. Be accountable by making sure they can answer for their actions or omissions.
2. Promote and uphold the privacy, dignity, rights, health and wellbeing of people who they care for.
3. Work in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare, care and support.
4. Communicate in an open, and effective way to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of their clients.
5. Respect a person’s right to confidentiality.
6. Strive to improve the quality of healthcare, care and support
through continuing professional development.
7. Uphold and promote equality, diversity and inclusion
As an extra:
Staff will not directly charge you for any services provided. All charges must be documented and processed through Ranger Home Care
Staff are not permitted to accept any gifts in cash or kind from either yourself, your family, or friends
Staff are not allowed to witness or benefit in any way from the Last Will and Testament of individuals using the services of Ranger Home Care
Staff are not allowed to bring pets, children or other family or friends with them when they are working in your home
Staff are not allowed to smoke or consume alcohol in your home
As a rule, carers cannot conduct any activity that is not specified in the client's care plan, or which may place themselves or others in danger.
