The following are examples of the types of risks we assess. We recognise your right to choose and your right to take risks, each risk will be discussed in detail and those discussions will be recorded. This will show the way in which Ranger Home Care aims to meet your needs and to ensure that we can work safely with you in your home:
 Security in the home Fire
 Electricity
 Moving and handling
Finally, we commit too: -
 Infection control Medication
 Handling money Personal Safety
Carrying out a review of our service within 3 weeks of your live-in care starting and then every 12 months or more often if required. Changes in your Care will usually require a reassessment to make sure that your needs can be met. Please contact our office if you wish to request a review or contact the Social Services or Health Authority who may be paying for your service on your behalf.
 RANGER HOME CARE LIVE-IN CARERS
All our carers are handpicked by us. They follow an intense recruitment and training programme. All are vetted, DBS checked and interviewed. They must then complete our accredited Skills for Care – Care Certificate. Carers working alone complete this in 1 week, carers working supported have 12 weeks to complete this. This is the foundation for the RQF programme, previously known as NVQ programme.
We believe in matching our carers to our clients. We match their skill, personalities, culture to yours. We will talk to you about the carer coming to your home and why we think they are right for you.
Our carers work a minimum of a week. Our aim is to always settle you with 1 main live-in carer. Then when they go on holiday, we will provide you with another live-in carer to cover their time off. It always fresh to meet someone new and as always, we will bring them into your home, so you don’t meet anyone new without your Care Co-Ordinator being present.
