. How do you stay raw and real in
this superficial world?
At the end of the day, whether you
pretend about who you are or who
Qyou’re not, people will still judge
you. So you’re better off just being yourself. Let
people decide to hate you for you than love you
for whom you’re not. You are not living your life
to be liked by everybody. You are living your life
to fulfil who you are as a person.
. What inspired your authenticity?
QI’m a realist and have to be as true as
possible. I’ve realised that most Zambians love
people who tell them what they want to hear. If
I say the opposite, then I’m rude or scandalous.
I wasn’t very friendly until recently. I got fed up
trying to hide myself and being in a shell and
decided to live my life.
. And how is this new attitude working for
Qyou?
I discovered that I was stressing myself
for nothing. I wasn’t very friendly. Now I’m
outspoken. I was just scared. My aura has
changed and people are drawn to me. I can’t walk
in the streets without meeting four or five people
