Mimosa Reloaded
f you have been in Lusaka long enough, the
name La Mimosa may ring familiar to you.
Popular for their ham, bacon and cheese
crepes, as well as their Italian coffee, the
brand is back and presumably better,
operating as Mimosa Reloaded. The coffee
shop and conference centre is situated off
Addis Ababa Drive, and is open Monday to
Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and on Sunday; 9
AM to 5 AM.
Speaking with the proprietor, Nada Chibanda, we learned
about the woman behind the business. Nada describes
herself as a woman working to leave her mark on society.
An aesthetician by profession, she is also the owner of
several other businesses. Other than the Mimosa Reloaded,
a fashion label and salon are all under her sturdy business
experience.
In a nutshell, she is the perfect person to ask about what
the entrepreneurial journey is like for Zambian women. She
shares how women have to work harder than men, as they
