         as a beautiful travel spot as well. This has the
         tremendous potential not just to highlight
         Zambia’s rich culture and geographic selling
         points, but  to improve our  tourism  and
         economy.”




         A Hub for Local and International Creatives,
         Innovators, Artists, and Entrepreneurs


         In working to bring the luxury wedding and
         event market to Zambia, Mwai-like us- noticed
         a need for greater support and resources for
         entrepreneurs, small  business owners, and
         creatives. “There is so much local potential just
         waiting to be tapped into!”  Mwai exclaims, “But
         where do the curious and ambitious creatives in
         Zambia go to connect, create, and learn?”  There
         is currently a lack of resources and tools available
         to equip these aspiring young minds, but Mwai
         hopes to change that by creating a hub and
         association for creative business owners.


         The Association for Creative Business Owners
         will promote innovation, ideas, excellence,          Creative businesses and entrepreneurs will join
                                                              as members and be added to a vetted business
         professionalism and ethics to business owners
         and entrepreneurs who are in creative or artistic    directory that will not only benefit them, but
                                                              also help clients and customers access the top
         businesses.

                                                              There will be training and mentorship in varying
                                                              niches within the arts to promote growth and
                                                              skills transfer.  This will be everything from
                                                              training on systems and the administration
                                                              required to start a small creative business to
                                                              workshops for song writing,  book writing or
                                                              specific skills such as how to design florals for
                                                              the luxury wedding market or how to set higher
                                                              prices on your artwork. Key components will
                                                              be training, mentorship, and business tools
                                                              and resources. It won’t just be for wedding
                                                              planners and designers, but for any creative
                                                              such as photographers, florists, chefs, handmade
                                                              artisans, artists, actors, musicians, and more.
                                                              Mwai envisions the association as being the arm
                                                              that reviews the credentials of business owners
                                                              so that not just anyone can pay the fee and join.
