A. I have clear rules about my working
environment. If you call me for a meeting, it’s a
meeting not a date. As far as stereotyping goes,
I get it all the time because I’m small in stature
but I just get on with my work and let the results
speak. I also have a no-nonsense personality so
I usually call things out when they happen and
move on to the next if I’m being undervalued or
taken advantage of.
Q. Do you identify as a feminist? If so, how?
A. I do identify as a feminist. My magazine
encourages women to be their best selves and
the content we post on social media motivates
women to affirm themselves, have fun and grow
holistically.
Q. Women are taking leading roles in more jobs
in the business world. Can this be attributed to
the feminist wave?
A. Yes, but there are also a number of other
factors that have placed women in a position
where they can have leading roles in business.
Feminism helps women speak in a group and
present a clear agenda that helps us have a
strategy, objectives, and an ideology around how
we want to be treated. It’s also helped us mobilize
and use our numbers as a bargaining tool. The
solidarity of feminism makes us a force to be
reckoned with. Also, we women are awesome
