2.11.2 Industrial production
Slovenia's industrial production decreased by 1.3% in the first ten
months of the year, the country's statistics office data showed.
In October, industrial production rose 3.5% y/y (chart), reversing a 0.4% decrease in September. The index moved up 2.3% on a monthly basis.
Year-on-year, industrial production rose in mining and quarrying by 26.8% and in manufacturing by 5.8%, but declined in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply by 15.9%.
The manufacturing PMI was 47.3 points in September 2024 (Aug. 41.1), which indicates a continuation of the PMI trend below the 50-point mark, according to the Slovenian Purchasing Association.
