  2.9 Putin & government’s popularity
   The confidence level of Russian citizens in President Vladimir Putin has experienced a slight decrease, dropping by 0.3% to 77% as of October 7, according to the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM).
The approval rating for President Putin also saw a marginal decline, down by 0.1% to reach 73.6%. These figures reflect the sentiments of the Russian population regarding their leader.
The Prime Minister and the Russian government received positive assessments from 51.1% and 48.5% of respondents, respectively, with no significant changes noted in their ratings.
Mikhail Mishustin, the Prime Minister, enjoyed the trust of 60.2% of those surveyed, marking a 0.2% increase compared to the previous week.
The survey also examined confidence in the leaders of various parliamentary factions. Gennady Zyuganov, leader of the Communist Party (CPRF), was trusted by 29.5% of respondents, experiencing a slight decrease of 1.9%. Sergey Mironov, the leader of A Just Russia - For Truth, received the trust of 28.1% of respondents, marking an increase of 1.8%. Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), garnered the trust of 14.9% of respondents, with a 1.3% decrease. Alexey Nechaev, leader of The New People party, maintained the trust of 7.5% of respondents, with no significant
