this support, Ukrenergo will be able to spend €97M in funds raised by the EBRD to support liquidity. It is noted that this is the second such tranche of European emergency aid for the Ukrainian transmission system operator. The European Union has already provided the first part of the €50M guarantee under this loan.
9.1.11 Metallurgy & mining sector news
Pipe production in Ukraine has recovered 65% of pre-war production levels. According to the results of May 2022, Ukrainian pipe plants increased their production 250% compared to April - up to 45,000 tons, reported Ukrinform. Thus, the industry managed to restore almost 65% of its pre-war production level, which is approximately 70,000 tons per month. It is noted that the following enterprises operated in May: Nikopol Seamless Pipe Plant (260% growth compared to April); Centravis (+ 45%); Pipe steel (-20%); Novomoskovsk plant (+230%). In concert with increased production, the new export supply chains built through EU seaports helped ensure growth for the second month in a row through improved logistics.

Ukraine and Poland will set up a joint venture to manufacture weapons.
Ukraine and Poland signed a memorandum on establishing a Polish-Ukrainian commission that will prepare recommendations on the format of establishing a joint venture to manufacture weapons and military equipment, announced the Government of Ukraine. Thus, following the results of intergovernmental consultations by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and Chairman of the Polish Council of Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki, the parties signed several bilateral documents. In addition, the parties signed a declaration between the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy of Poland and the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine to cooperate in the development of Ukrainian communities as part of the post-war reconstruction plan.
