Rostelecom said that “growth in traffic” had led to a “serious overload” that serve YouTube videos and other Google services. “This may affect the download speed and playback quality of YouTube videos for users of all Russian operators,” Rostelecom said, the Moscow Times reported.
RDIF, National Qualifications, a Russian firm, and Indian Hoonar Tekwurks Private announced a partnership to develop cooperation in IT and support of educational and business initiatives in both countries in July.
Telegram in Russia is now the main social network, news feed and messenger in one bottle. The USA bought $209.5mn worth of enriched uranium from Russia in May. In May of this year, the United States purchased enriched uranium from Russia worth $209.5mn, which was the maximum since March 2023. The news agency Novosti quotes publicly available data from the US official sources. The Novosti agency writes that, after a break in April, Moscow resumed uranium supplies to the United States; during May, the export volume amounted to 91.1 tonnes. In total, the US purchased uranium worth $987mn, and the main supplier was China, which pocketed $323.6mn from the sale. The second largest exporter to the US was France ($245.4mn). So, maybe, the PRC is not such a bad country, after all?

The net profit of mobile operator MTS under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for the Q1 of 2024 has tripled in comparison with the same period of 2023 and amounted to 39.5bn rubles ($444.61mn), according to the company's report. MTS revenues in the Q1 increased by 17.4% to 161.3bn rubles ($1.81bn) against the backdrop of growing revenues in all business areas, the company noted. The company's OIBDA for the Q1 increased by 4.8% y/y to 59.1bn rubles ($665.23mn) against the backdrop of growing revenues in the telecom business, successful results in the fintech vertical, as well as growth in the revenues of the media holding.
