In the Donetsk People's Republic, blast furnace No. 5 of the Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant is being launched, in the Nizhny Novgorod Region - vacuum-arc and electroslag remelting furnaces of JSC Ruspolimet, in the Chelyabinsk Region - a new coke battery of the Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works.
In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ruspolimet JSC is launching vacuum-arc and electroslag remelting furnaces. Thanks to this, the enterprise will be able to almost double its capacity for the production of heat-resistant steels, alloys and products made from them. As part of import substitution, the company has established the production of gasostatic furnaces used to manufacture products from metal powders and increase the strength of parts made from heat-resistant steels and alloys, including for the aviation industry and shipbuilding.
In the Chelyabinsk region, the production of dry coking coal is being launched at PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works ( MMK ). The coke battery consists of four blocks with 50 ovens in each. The total capacity of the plant allows for the annual production of 2.5 million tons of dry coking coal. The commissioning of the new coke battery will reduce gross emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere by 11,300 tons annually.
In addition, the third stage of the park complex "Attraction" with an area of 400 hectares in Magnitogorsk, built on the initiative of the MMK management, was opened. As part of this stage, the light and music fountain "Steel Heart of the Motherland" with an area of more than 3,500 sq. m and an art quarter with an area of 1,300 sq. m were opened.
