Ukraine's rolled metal market showed almost 100% growth this year. In 10 months of the year, Ukrainian enterprises increased their rolled metal consumption by 94.51% compared to the same period last year - up to 2.9 million tons. During this period, 937,500 tons were imported, or 32.29% of the domestic market’s rolled metal consumption. In January-October, Ukrainian enterprises produced 4.37 million tons of rolled metal (87% compared to the same period in 2022), of which 2.4 million tons, or 55.9%, were exported. In the same period last year, the share of exports amounted to 79.7% (four million tons with a total production of 5.02 million tons). Also, during the ten months of the year, there has been a 94.51% increase in domestic market capacity compared to January-October 2022, with a simultaneous 0.42% increase in the share of the imported component.
