The Batson Family (Batson Enterprises) and the Lin Family (San Fu) have
been Partners for over 22 years.

I remember when My father (Bob Batson) started the relationship. My
father had worked in the industry for many years and saw the shift to China
manufacturing facilities coming. He knew that a stable work force that
had been in place for many years was one of the keys to having a quality
product produced. The Lin family had such a company and had chosen to
stay put in Taiwan when many other companies left. My father knew this
was a smart move, and hence the story begins.

My dad traveled to Taiwan to meet with the Lin Family. I remember him
saying that this is an honorable family, we can grow with them. We can
work together to better the products and one day have the finest products
in the industry. David Lin, Mr. Su, Bill Batson, Mr. Lin, and Mike Thorson in early 2000’s

In 2003 My father hired Mike Thorson as VP of engineering. This decision in my opinion was the last visionary decision he made. Sadly, my
father died shortly after hiring Mike. Mike Thorson is still with the company and has made a huge contribution to our continued success
in the industry and our relationship with the Lin Family. Mike and I traveled to Taiwan in late 2003 to meet them and to assure them that
we were moving forward with my father’s vision. My father’s death was tough on everyone and we had to pull from our faith in God and
our commitment to the industry. The outcome is a partnership that has grown even stronger.

Over the next few years, the two companies jointly developed many industry firsts. One of our offerings was introducing 316 stainless steel
guides to the market. These are far better for corrosion resistance. This is now used by virtually every other guide manufacturer today, but
the Lin/Batson Team were the first to bring it to market.

Both companies saw the need for the creation of a new brand that
would feature the highest quality materials and designs. The ALPS
brand and product line was created. Today, Alps is known industry-
wide for supplying the highest quality cutting-edge designs.

Batson Enterprises is the exclusive distributor for the entire ALPS
product line in the US market. We are the largest wholesale distributor
of ALPS products in the WORLD. It has been an honor and a blessing
to have such honorable partners in this industry. The Lin family is our
family. We look forward to what the future brings between our families
and the entire fishing industry. This is a true partnership dedicated to
