We Are The Champions

For the second time, the boys of ISC Dubai’s U16 football team are declared champions of the DU UAE

Schools Cup, which took place at the Dubai Mall earlier evening.

Our boys made an incredible comeback after being down 2-0 against Al Maarifa International Private

School Sharjah.

ISC Dubai scored one goal in the second half, then fought until the very end to score a second goal in the

last five seconds. The boys managed to equalize and qualify to penalties. After 25 nerve wracking penalty

shots (37 all in all!), our keeper made the save that crowned his team the DU Schools’ Champions!!!

We are incredibly proud of our boys and of Mr. Catalin, who made excellent decisions throughout the

game.

Over 500 teams in the United Arab Emirates, from various age groups participated in this tournament. Our

U16 boys have placed 1st amongst the 100+ teams from their division.
