AUD Schools Sports Challenge

7th American University in Dubai Schools Sports Challenge February 23, 2018 Spirits and

energy levels were high at the American University of Dubai on Friday, February 23rd,

2018. SABIS network students, along with a multitude of participating schools, had the

opportunity to showcase their athletic talent in the variety of sporting events that

embodied this annual sports challenge. There were individual and relay races, swimming,

basketball, football, and volleyball competitions taking place throughout this very exciting

day. It is safe to say that the students of ISC Dubai topped their opponents in most, if not

all, the sports they participated in. For ISC Dubai’s girls football team, it was a day to

remember. After winning all preliminary matches, they made it to the finals against

Philadelphia Private School. Fellow athletes, coaches, parents, and members of staff

cheered from the sidelines as both teams gave it their all to take home the trophy. An

extremely tough but exciting match, our girls fought until the last minute to eventually

score two goals. As the whistle called the end of the game, students, spectators, coaches,

and members of staff ran onto the field to congratulate the players, who proved
