As my last day in Choueifat approaches, I look back
on all the amazing experiences that have shaped
and inspired me. This is it - the final countdown. As
I am writing this, I am staring intently at the clock
on my desk and it is still ticking and ticking and
ticking. Time never stops, and you only truly realize
this when the constant routine you have never
shaken for 10 years begins to tremble and slowly
fracture. However, what I truly find beautiful is that
this decaying rock, that you have always depended
on, will eventually grow into something more
enriched like a phoenix reborn from its ashes, for
better or for worse. At the end, only one thing is for
certain – I will always cherish these experiences as
they will soon be the only link between now and
what only time and God can tell.

It's been a long seven years here at Choueifat. Seven
years of waking up at six a.m. But the day has come
to finally leave, and I realize I'm going to miss it. All
the teachers, classmates and friends I have made
here have impacted my life one way or another. The
journey has been tough but it's finally coming to an
end. I hope that we all meet again soon. Finally, I
would like to thank my friends and family for their
continuous support. Without you guys it would have
never been possible. I hope you all have a pleasant
journey through university. Good luck in the real
world (no basic questions).
