Mississippi
Mississippi is a state in the south of the USA. It is called Mississippi because the river is the
state limit between this state and Louisiana. Its nickname is the Magnolia State because
there are lots of magnolia trees in the state. Just like in Louisiana, there are many plantations
in the state. Its capital is Jackson and the highest point is Woodall Mountain (245m). The
5 state bird is the mockingbird. A typical Mississippi meal is made with catfish, corn bread and
pecan pie for dessert.
