 Goethe´s Colour wheel
Goethe´s Colour Theory is based on a symmetric colour wheel, composed by the colours of the edge spectrum. Complementary colours are reciprocally opposed, as they mutually evoke each other in the eye. Goethe completed his colour wheel by recognizing the importance of magenta- a colour not included in the colour spectrum Newton´s.{ By taking the primary red as magenta, he shows a more spiritual approach to the world of colours, magenta being the colour that appears when forming a circle out of the spectral band, where one end violet and the other end red converge.
