Dear Parent/Carer,
Happy Easter!
In these unusual circumstances I have decided to write to you during the holidays, just to keep in touch and feedback a little, as well as share some more ‘visual’ student work.!
I hope the weekend was as enjoyable as it could be in the circumstances. For those of you working at the sharp end of the fight against Covid 19, thank you for what you are doing and for all who are doing their bit, whether in supporting family members, friends or neighbours, I have no doubt this is deeply appreciated.
I want to thank my small group of colleagues who have been working over the Easter holidays as part of our emergency Reading Hub School resource. That was greatly appreciated.
Also, I hope some of you had the chance to join us for our brief Easter reflections which were streamed over the weekend to our school Twitter and FB accounts. [Sorry, Instagram users – the video was a bit too big!]
Listening to feedback
As I said in my last letter, we continue to take on board your feedback as we begin the new term on 20th April.
One issue is clarity about when work will be set. We will ensure that work is set on the same day each week, specifically KS3 on Monday and KS4 on Tuesday, so that students can work through this over the week.
We have also asked staff to avoid issuing pdf documents that need to be converted to Word. I am aware that you may well use pdf converters, but we will, wherever possible, ensure you do not have to use them.
If you have any questions regarding French work, as we say goodbye and thank you to Mrs Lagarde and Mrs Walters, I would ask that any questions be emailed to admin@hughfaringdon.org so we can respond and help. [We look forward to welcoming back Mrs Hargreaves and Mrs Stubbs, our French team, in the near future].
