I would like to take this opportunity to thank our team! The starting lineup is: The Eastchester School District Coaching Staff, our student athletes, Dr. Moran, Dr. Capuano, our parents, community, and sports club. Thank you for allowing our student athletes the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable year. Your tremendous support made it possible for our students to participate in our athletic programs during the 2016-2017 school years.
I would like to congratulate all of our teams, coaches and parents for another great year. You have truly made our athletic events very special. The support by our fans game in and game out is the best in all of Section I! Eagle Nation has become engrained in the culture here at Eastchester. I am very proud of all of our accomplishments and very appreciative of all of the tremendous fan support. It is always done in a very supportive way and it really gives our teams the extra boost to play hard throughout all of our athletic contests.
The thing that always impresses me about our teams is the amount of heart and dedication all of our teams put forth every contest. Whenever you play one of our teams you better be ready and prepared. Our teams play very hard until the end of every contest, no matter what the score is they are always giving their best until the final horn goes off. This speaks volumes about our athletes, coaches and tremendous athletic philosophy that our school follows.
I would like to also thank the Student Athletic Council and the Eastchester Eagles Sports Club for making such a huge difference in our school district and especially in our athletic department. They continue to work hard in order to promote our students and athletes at the highest level. They have been involved with many activities throughout the year including tonight’s sports dinner. Their untiring efforts have made it possible for us to sponsor Athlete of the Week, The Holiday Basketball Tournament, fan of the game nights, the senior citizen dinner dances, Eastchester Youth Sports Day, a spring BBQ for athletes just to name a few things that they have been involved with. They have also contributed to various causes within our school as well have been very generous to all of our teams.
As I reflect back, I can’t help but think how successful our students have been both on and off the athletic fields and in the classroom. This was made possible by the tremendous support and the willingness of our entire community to work together and make it possible for all of our students to be involved with everything that our school has to offer.
Sincerely,
Jason Karol
Athletic Director
