* Nifaa sa yaa. A useless person (relative) is better than a grave.
* You can send the person but not the grave. So, people have value in
society.
* Nobody is completely useless in society. Each individual can do
something in hi situation and his social usefulness depends on what he can do
successfully.
13.b. Da-ngma faa mi kog ne kyoone. A useless log can support sheanuts.
* A “useless log” here refers to a person we think is useless.
* This proverb may be used when a person who is considered useless is
called upon to play a needed role in society. It is thus in a complimentary sense.
So, we must know and respect the true worth of people so tat we do not devalue
them.
