Death was not God's idea initially. Adam and Eve were

designed to live forever. But after the fall of man (which didn't

surprise God in the least), death became part of life's equation
for us human beings.

We still face this. We all have a date with the undertaker.

The GOSPEL tells us Jesus came . . .

(1) to conquer death,

(2) to give us abundant life of prosperity and health on earth,
(3) to give us eternity in heaven forever,

and this is all revealed by his gospel truth.

(II Timothy 1:10)

Hebrews says that one purpose of Jesus is to dissolve any fear
about death we might have.
