Employee engagement is a process designed to ensure that employees are committed to
organization’s goals and values, motivated to contribute to organizational success, and are
able at the same time to enhance their own sense of wellbeing.
Research shows a well-established connection between employee engagement and
performance outcomes, including higher productivity, safety, profitability and improved
employee wellbeing and increased loyalty.
Saudi Aramco uses a survey that measures the key ‘drivers’ of employee engagement, which
is externally benchmarked with organizations inside the Kingdom, across the oil & gas
industry and with high performing organizations. This key driver analysis and benchmarking
provides insight as to how engaged our employees are, and how we can make Saudi Aramco
an even better place to work.
The Employee Engagement Process has the following five steps:
1. Conduct annual Engagement Survey to assess
Company culture & climate
2. Share BL & AA survey reports with hypothesis
of reasons for the results
3. Engage stakeholders to identify focal points to
support deep dive analysis and develop
implementation plans
4. Perform Root-Cause analysis and map findings
to EE toolkit for implementation
5. Implementation Plan with realistic actions,
measures, and timeframes. Report against
agreed upon KPIs Saudi Aramco: Company General Use
