Each year, the American Classical League issues the
National Latin Examinations. The National Latin Exam assesses standard achievement in Latin language and literature through vocabulary, grammar, translation, reading proficiency, and cultural background.

Computing
Four students won 2020 NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information Technology) Awards for Aspirations in Computing.

These prestigious honors recognize high school women from across Ohio for their leadership and involvement in technology, robotics and applied science, along with their academic success and plans for post-secondary education.
The students were recognized during a virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Bruins Win Tech Competition
Congrats to Daniel Obloj ’21, Anthony Shuman ’21 and Jay
Skrab ’21 for winning the RITE CoolTech Challenge for the second year in a row. The event was virtual this year and took place via Zoom, due to COVID-19 restrictions. The trio won the Design & Build portion of the competition by building a service matching app for both volunteers and organizations, called Do Your Part. The team won a $1,500 prize. Computer science teacher Mr. Rich Kirkpatrick guided the team’s efforts.
Padua had three additional groups participate in the online competition, guided by business teacher Mr. Tony Shuman ’91, including the following:
