Workshop on Fundamentals of Variable
Frequency Drive and its Applications
A Workshop was conducted on fundamentals
of variable frequency drive and its applications
by Mr. Sumit Kumar, Subject Matter Expert,
CCAE, on 15th March 2019. The Participants
were made aware of use of variable frequency
drives for process control applications and
peripheral components of variable frequency
drives based on applications, use of variable
frequency drive’s programming software and
its various useful functions like alarm
information, real-time plotting, and basic start-
stop and monitoring etc.
Workshop on “Building Gatekeepers
for Suicide Prevention”.
Chitkara College of Applied Engineering
(CCAE) organized a workshop by Dr.
Bandana Bisht on " Building Gatekeepers
for Suicide Prevention" on 8 April 2019.

Workshop was attended by teaching and non-
teaching staff from CCAE, where they were
made aware of the symptoms and measures
required for prevent suicide among students
and society.
Workshop on Basics of Plumbing for
Students from France
A workshop was organized by Mr. Mohit Pal
Joshi on Basics of Plumbing for students from
France who have been here through semester

exchange program on 8 April, 2019. This
workshop was really instrumental for the
students as it thoroughly made them aware of
the techniques behind various plumbing
operations starting from identification of
various fittings used in plumbing operations
along with their materials and how these
fittings get installed on site by interpreting the
available plumbing drawings and details.
