One of three circuit rodeos held on grass in the United States, the Lions’ Dixie Roundup gathers cowboys from all over the nation to compete for qualifification into the National Finals in Las Vegas. A concert and rodeo is held annually at the historic Dixie Sunbowl in St. George.

Ironman is one of the most challenging events in the world of sports and also one of the most inspiring. Ironman features a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile ride, and a complete marathon (26.2 miles) all in succession. Athletes have 17 hours to complete the event (from the 7am start until midnight).
The swim will be through the Sand Hollow Reservoir, the bike ride will go throughout the county, and the run will be through the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve and downtown St. George. It will be open to 2,500 participants. The striking scenery and contrasting landscapes of the St. George area provide a spectacular setting for such an event.
The St. George race will be a qualifier for the Ironman World Championship, which happens each October in Hawaii. A total of 72 slots for the World Championship will be awarded to top age groups and pro finishers.
