The world is filled with amazing design. The DNA molecules in every cell of living things
determine exactly how every single cell is to function throughout life. The information
embedded into the DNA molecule provides the instructions for all of the cell’s life
functions. This information is highly organized and extremely complex. Complex
information speaks of a designer. Information never comes together by random
               processes.

Think about the design of the brain. Three to four pounds and several thousand miles of
interconnected nerve cells (about 100 billion) control every movement, thought,
sensation, and emotion that comprises the human experience. Within the brain and
spinal cord there are ten thousand distinct varieties of neurons, trillions of supportive
cells, a few more trillion synaptic connections, a hundred known chemical regulating
agents, miles of minuscule blood vessels, axons ranging from a few microns to well over
a foot and a half in length, and untold mysteries of how—
almost flawlessly—all these components work together. This is the
                                           amazing brain.

Your brain has about one hundred thousand billion electrical
connections. That’s ten to the fourteenth power. In fact, your brain has
more electrical connections than all the electrical appliances on the
face of the earth. Yet your brain with its hundred thousand billion
electrical connections fits in a quart jar and operates for 70 years on
                                           ten watts of power.

Every cubic inch [2.54 centimeters] of the human brain contains at least 100 million nerve cells
interconnected by 10 thousand miles of fibers.

It has been said that man's 3-4 pound brain is the most complex and orderly arrangement of matter in
the entire universe! Far more complicated than any computer, the human brain is capable of storing and
creatively manipulating seemingly infinite amounts of information. Its capabilities and potential stagger
the imagination. The more we use it, the better it becomes. To think it came about by random chance
over millions of year is not rational. It had to be designed by a Designer.

Not all the scientists in the world believe in evolution. In fact, there is a huge movement today in the
scientific community that are questioning and even rejecting the tenets of evolution all together. The
Discovery Institute's Center for Science and Culture announced that over 1000 scientists from around
the world have now signed a statement expressing their skepticism about the contemporary theory of
Darwinian evolution. The statement, located online at www.dissentfromdarwin.org, reads:

"We are skeptical of claims for the ability of random mutation and natural selection to account for the
complexity of life. Careful examination of the evidence for Darwinian theory should be encouraged."

Signers of the statement questioning Darwinism came from throughout the US and from several other
countries, representing biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, geology, anthropology and other
scientific fields. Professors and researchers at such universities as Princeton, MIT, U Penn, and Yale, as
well as smaller colleges and the National Laboratories at Livermore, CA and Los Alamos, N.M., are
included. A number of the signers have authored or contributed to books on issues related to evolution,
               or have books underway.
