               Outlining
               Once you have the ideas you would like to use in your paper, you can make a more complete list of your
               ideas with quotes and other things you would like to use. An outline is a systematic way to organize
               your ideas for a paper. A strong outline includes each main argument or subtopic in the paper as well as
               supporting details. It should also include transitions and quotes for the paper. An outline helps
               throughout the writing process and prevents the writer from getting off the planned path of the paper.
               There are many types of outlines. Below is a modified version of a classic outline. This is the outline you
               will use for your final paper in this class.

               Introduction:


               Sentence #1: Question, quote, startling statement
               Sentence #2: Commentary (this can be more than one sentence)

               Sentence #3: Thesis statement
