Justice demands a consequence for crimes. Now it is time to move into the second aspect of sharing the
               Gospel --- the good news!

               2. Christ died for your sin. You might say something like this: “God is a God of infinite love. John 15:13
says, ‘Greater love has no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.’ Because God loves
you so very much, He was willing to become a man and live a sinless life, keeping the law perfectly in
every way. He came in the Person of Jesus Christ to save you from your sin. He willingly allowed them to
hang Him on a cross, and He died on that cross to pay your penalty for your sins. He took your sins upon
Himself and shed His blood as a payment to satisfying the justice of God. He paid your debt.”

               3. Christ rose from the dead. You may want to conclude the above presentation with, “They took Him
off the cross and He was buried in a tomb. But three days later, He came to life again, rising from the
dead. His resurrection was proof of Who He was and what He had done. His death was accepted as
               payment for your sin.”

As you can see, we have presented the Gospel in the three parts it is outlined in 2 Corinthians 15:3-4.
You can now take the person into God’s Word and show him how God has outlined these truths there.
Here are some excellent verses to show the person:

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born againhe cannot see the
               kingdom of God.”

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children
               of God,

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father
               except through me.

John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should
not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but
                                            17
                                                              18
in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but
whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son
               of God.

Romans 10-9-11 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your

                                                                     10
heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is
justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who
                                                                  11
believes in him will not be put to shame.”

Some do’s and don’ts about witnessing

This is a difficult part of “witnessing” to write about. Why? Because there is almost no way for there to
be a right way and a wrong way to tell people about Jesus. As soon as someone does something the
wrong way, the Holy Spirit convicts the person’s heart and that person falls to his/her knees and asks
