Have you every packed for a long trip? You have to try to think of everything you might need
while you are away. Some people make check lists to make sure they have everything. Think
of it, Paul and Barnabas took off to go to a land they have never been to and had to pack for
the trip. They did not know where they would stay when they got there or how the people
would receive their message. It must have been a bit scary to start the journey. But they
both had a message, the Gospel, to share with the lost souls to where they were going, and
they simply trusted God to take care of their needs. I hope you have the kind of faith that they had
when leaving their home church of comfort to launch out to the unknown. Let’s see if we can take a
               journey with them……

                14.2 Objectives:

                       in each city.

                       2. The student should be able to create a chronology regarding the time Paul spent in each
               area.

               3. The student should be able to explain why, when you present the Gospel to others, some will accept
it gladly, and some will reject it. You may even experience opposition.

                14.3 The Mediterranean Sea

The “Great Sea” provides all the showers that water the hills and valleys of Palestine. And
the wonderful dews which, with regularity of clockwork, settle during the rainless season in
the cool of the evening upon the Palestinian hills. The harvest, whether grain or fruit, is
nourished by these heavy dews. The sea was an important route for merchants and
travelers of ancient times because it allowed trade and cultural exchange between peoples
                          of various regions.
