13.5 Let’s Personalize this Lesson…

                          Activity:  After you have done your research with a minimum of three sources, the next step is to
                          outline what you plan to write.  This is a very important step in the process and can keep you from
                          wandering off the topic.  It will also guarantee that your writing is concise (to the point).  You can
                          outline in two ways.  You can create an outline from the information you have found on a topic, or you
                          can take a work, say the Bible, and break down a book into an outline.  I suggest that to practice, you
              try doing the later.  Take the book of I John and see if you can create an outline of it.  Many study Bibles display an
              outline at the introduction of a book.  Don’t look at the one already created.  Create your own.  Then compare your
              outline with the one in your study Bible.
