Biography
German Painter, Aerni studied in Rome, and also in the academy of Modena. He had a
friendship to Herman Corrodi where they met in Rome, and accompanied him to his
trips to Egypt and Cyprus. He was influenced by the admiration of H. Corrodi towards
the Orient and liked very much painting the Orientalist scenes. His paintings are very
rare to find.
