      EMPLOYEE
SPOTLIGHT
Charles “Rick” White, PhD
Authentix Insider (AI) highlights this issue’s employee spotlight on Rick White, our V.P. of Program Delivery working from the York, UK office. We posed 10 thought provoking questions to provide insight on the personality and perspectives of your colleagues from around the world. Each time, we will ask that the person provide candid answers and help us get to know them better. The following is that interview:
AI: What’s your role with Authentix and the background that led you here?
RW: “I was an R&D Chemist (medicinal chemistry) looking for a new challenge outside my comfort zone. And boy did I find it, as I am now (somehow) the VP of Program Delivery in
O&G!”
AI: Describe yourself in three words. RW: “Slobbery.Labrador.Puppy.”
AI: Finish the following sentence – “I like working for Authentix because.....................”
RW: “Authentix makes a massively positive impact on a huge number of lives around the world. We bring best practices and best in class technology to fight corrupt behaviors and we ALWAYS do it with honesty and integrity whilst never stop trying to improve. Basically, we
do it right. And I really like that.”
AI: What exciting project is on the horizon for you?
RW: “There are many; for example, gaining traction in Europe (QualiTrax), expanding our
operations in Africa (Mozambique), maintaining our industry leading position (Ghana, Zambia and KSA renewals) and [trying to] lead one of the top motley crews in Authentix (O&G POMs).”
AI: What’s the best advice you ever received? RW: “Itrustyou”
AI: What’s your “mantra” or words to live by? RW: “Whatcouldpossiblygowrong?”
AI: Who are your heroes and why?
RW: “I don’t really have heroes, but I admire Rudyard Kipling for the poem “If”. Read it
(assuming you haven’t already) and you might see what I mean.”
AI: How would you describe your job to a kindergartner? RW: “Iama‘PetrolPoliceman’”
AI: What is your top tip to stay organized, motivated or creative?
RW: “I am certainly not organized, so I try and keep those who are close by. I am motivated by
getting to do what we do, where we do it, and with the people we do this job with. I couldn’t wish to work with a better group of individuals all pulling together for one common goal.”
AI: Who would play you in the movie version of your life?
RW: “Ha,noidea.MaybeBenedictCumberbatchifhewaspreparedtoshavehisheadandwear
