from July 2013 to December 9, 2014.
Prior to his appointment as QNB Group Chief Executive Officer in
July 2013, His Excellency was the Executive General Manager
and Group Business Officer. He is also Chairman of MasterCard
Middle East and North Africa Advisory Board, Chairman of QNB
Capital (the Investment Banking and Advisory of QNB Group),
and Chairman of QNB Privee Suisse in Switzerland, Vice
Chairman of Commercial Bank International in the UAE and Vice
Chairman in Qatar Exchange.
In 2016, His Excellency actively attended several competence
development programs, among others, Institute of International
Finance (IIF) Board Meeting, Business Forum Qatar, MEED –
Qatar Project Conference, Doha International Maritime Defence
Conference and Exhibition 2016 (DIMDEX), Institute of
International Finance (IIF), Emerging Markets Advisory Council
(EMAC), and CEO and Spring Membership Meetings.
His Excellency holds a Bachelor Degree in Math and Computer
Science from Eastern Washington University in 1984 and a
Master Degree of Science in Management Information System
from the Seattle Pacific University in 1987. He also attended a
number of Executive programs at Wharton School of Business,
London Business School, Cambridge University and Duke
University.
